Most of the maintenance required on mobile light towers are required on the diesel generator supplying the power. It will prove beneficial to keep a maintenance log including operating running times and dates. Maintenance kits are also available (most are approximately $50) to ensure you have the proper tools for your portable generator, mast and outrigger.

FLUIDS - check levels of coolant, battery water and other fluids before each operation or at least every 100 hours operation.
AIR FILTER - Remove dust build-up, check for cracks and rips.
CORDS - check to make cure all power cords are in tact, no rips or wires showing.
TUBING/PIPES - visually check for leaks both new and old, cracks or breaks.
CONNECTIONS - Are all connections of pole, outrigger and mounts secure. This check should be done prior to any transport of the mobile light tower.
BULBS - Is there any damage since last operation, replace as needed.

Long Term Maintenance of Mobile Light Towers
